LUXURY HOTELS.

We select the hotels for your stay very carefully. All the hotels we use are tourist-standard hotels and are among the best available in each area. A few 5 star international standard hotels have been opened in the past 2 years. The rate for a single room can go as high as US$1000 per night. Bhutan visit can arrange all the necessary bookings if you want to stay in these luxury hotels as a supplementary extra.

LUXURY TRANSPORT

Flight Arrangements

CAN I BOOK A DIRECT FLIGHT TO BHUTAN?
Only the national airline, Druk Air, flies to Bhutan's international airport at Paro (PBH). You need to arrange your own connecting flights to one of the Druk Air departure points - Bangkok (Thailand), Dehli (India), or Kathmandu. Please note that Druk air also has a stop-over at Calcutta (India) and Dhaka (Bangladesh), though no flights originate there.

BhutanVisit will book your Druk Air flight for you as part of the package arrangement since Druk Air does not have booking agents outside Bhutan.

FLIGHT CONNECTIONS

We highly recommend that you arrive at Bangkok, Delhi or Kathmandu, one day prior to the Druk departure for Bhutan. Druk Air flights usually depart early in the morning. We cannot be held responsible if you miss the connection to Bhutan, though we will do our utmost to help you get on the next flight and to reinstate your visa. All additional costs incurred will be borne by you. Similarly, on the return journey, we would not advise you to book a flight which connects on the same day unless you have a ticket that allows some flexibility. Druk Air flight schedules are subject to weather conditions in the mountains and are often altered at the last minute.

How to Apply for a Visa
All visas must be processed prior to entering the country. There are no embassies or missions abroad that can issue Bhutanese Tourist visas. The visa formalities are taken care of by your tour operator. You will be asked to complete a visa application form on or off line once you have booked your tour. The actual visa is stamped in your passport upon arrival in Bhutan. You will need to bring with you three passport-sized photographs and US$20 in cash for a stay of up to 2 weeks.

How to Book
Booking with us is simple. You do not have to know your exact plans and dates at this stage, since our reservation form serves as a tentative reservation request. We will contact you as soon as we receive your reservation to confirm the exact details and choices available and to reply to any questions or special requests you may have.

Booking and Payment
You can book online or by fax and you can telephone us, or one of our representatives, directly if you have any queries about the booking. Just follow the simple three-step procedure below:
STEP 1
Fill in the application form and submit online or fax (or post), if more convenient.
STEP 2
We will contact you with confirmations of hotel and airline availability and a complete quotation for the trip cost.
STEP 3
Once you are happy with the arrangements you confirm your booking with us. We send you payment details.
STEP 4
Payment finalizes your confirmation and allows us to process your visa and make confirmed airline reservations. Payment is made to Bhutan Visit via the government’s Department of Tourism’s international bank account by bank transfer. The government will not begin the process of issuing visas and Druk Air and the hotels will not confirm our bookings until your payment has reflected in the government account. Once royalties have been deducted they issue the remainder to Bhutan Visit. This process takes some time so in order not to face inconveniences please make your bank transfer as soon as STEP 3 is completed.
